After two false starts caused by rain, the VRA Midgets were finally able to open their season. When all was said and done it was Greg Edenholm taking his first ever midget main event win over Ronnie Gardner, Jake Swanson, Wink Schweitzer and Brian Camarillo. Despite some smaller than normal car counts this season, the racing at Ventura Raceway has been outstanding in all divisions. Saturday night proved this once again with close hard fought racing action that saw the midget win separation of first and second be less than .02 of a second.
