This past week, Park Jefferson saw a new pump system at the track vandalized. The pump system, which cost thousands of dollars and man hours last fall, was designed to remove water from the track to allow for racing in the event rain. A 3rd hammering of rain Thursday afternoon and evening totalling 4 inches for the week has forced Park Jefferson Speedway to cancel racing for this Saturday. The MLRA date will not be made up. Full refunds will be issued to the card which advance tickets were purchased with in 8-10 days. Track officials will be working to set a new date for the $1,000 to win Road to the Iron Cup for Artworks Graphics IMCA Modifieds.
