Derek Hagar from Marion, Arkansas garnered his first United Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters National Championship by racing to a series high ten wins, 24 top five and 28 top ten finishes.. Hagar who was the series 2006 Rookie of the Year, also captured the USCS Southern Thunder regional series title.
