SAMMY BAHR RECUPERATING Long-time USAC official and mechanic Sammy Bahr is recuperating at home in Fountain Valley, Calif. after suffering leg injuries in a pit accident last Saturday night at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway. He underwent two surgeries at a Riverside hospital to address a shattered tibia and fractured fibula in his left leg and additional surgery is expected. He has served as a USAC/CRA pit steward for the past six years. USAC extends its get-well wishes.

That’s nothing new except it has been expanded this year with a three-night AMSOIL USAC National Sprint car weekend at East Bay Raceway in Gibsonton February 26-28.
