Civil War #10 at Petaluma Speedway was a homecoming for Geoff Ensign as he came back to the place he cut his sprint car teeth after a week of frustration when he went 16 hours one way to get rained out twice in Elma, Washington. A good racing weekend became spectacular this weekend for Geoff Ensign as the USAC Western Classic Series blew into the North Valley for a night of racing at Chico’s Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday and the El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville on Saturday. At the end of the night, Geoff Ensign can check off “sweeping both nights of the Louie Vermeil Classic” with the USAC Western Classic Racing Series.
