About Jacob

Jacob started his racing career in 2007 racing remote control cars at Newville R/C Speedway at the age of 6 years old. Racing in the “truck class” and then moving to the “Limited Sprint” division in 2008, achieving a 3rd place in Newville’s Championship Point Series in 2008.

In 2009, Jacob wanted to try and follow in his father’s footsteps by racing motocross, in 2009 Jacob raced in the 50cc class winning the 2009 MDRA 50cc (7-8) Oil Class Season Points Championship.

The experience (seat-time) gained was invaluable for the next step in his racing career, the series ceased all racing operations in February 2011 (a month before the season was to start). This left us searching for another class to race for 2011; Selinsgrove Raceway Park would allow us to race at 10 years old along with Shippensburg and Greenwood Valley. Most of the other tracks that run 125’s, the driver must be at least 12 years old to compete. We consider the 2010 season a success due to the seat-time and experience gained through racing with the great people associated with the YG390 Series. We made a lot of friendships that will
