About Lee

Started racing in 1997 after high school with a 360 sprint car with no prior racing experience. Raced through 2002 and missed 2003 with a broken foot and ran limited amount in 2004 before stepping away. Learned a lot starting from zero knowledge of the sport and had success with 7 wins in those years and lot of top fives. Dabbled in it a few times in 2008 with my older equipment I had left with some friends and again in 2014. Towards the end of the racing season in 2016 I decided to get back into the sport buying out a local 360 team that was stepping away only to find later that Husets, named Badlands at the time, was closing at the end of the season. So we ran around to some other tracks within a 100 mile radius running 360 shows from 2017-2020. In the fall of 2020 I bought out a Minnesota 305 team, originally for the cars, and was talked into giving that a try for 2021. We immediately had good success in the class and picked up 4 feature wins, a track championship and sixth place overall in the nation in the class. We came back in 2022 running only 32 305 shows and picked up 6 wins and 22 top fives and top ten in every show except the four that we were not able to finish. Tried a 410 for the first time at Husets speedway and the first couple shows were with the outlaws which I tried some ideas that were given to me and didn't not have good results. Came back and tried it again for the season finally Bull Haulers Brawl and tried it my way putting up a fourth best qualifying effort, out of 32 cars, and making the top eight redraw with a feature result of 12th.
