About Austin

Austin Hunter was introduced to motorsports when his Dad began racing a Super Truck when he was 5. He began racing go-carts at 13. Racing the cart and going to the dirt track with his Mom and Dad quickly cemented Austin's love for speed. By 15 years of age, Austin was sharing seat time in the Super Truck with his Dad and at 16 he strapped into a WISSOTA Midwest Modified and began amassing an impressive list of accomplishments.

Even with the pandemic severely impacting travel and the number of events available from 2020 to 2022, Austin's scorecard is still full. The start of the list includes 110 wins, 11 track championships and 5 Canadian championships!
But that's not all.

Austin and his bright yellow #44 finished 3rd in WISSOTA National Points in 2017, 2nd in in 2018 and 4th in 2019! To put those accomplishments in perspective, WISSOTA sanctions tracks in Canada and the USA with the numbers in the WISSOTA Midwest Modified division sitting between 750 and 800 drivers annually!

Austin Hunter's parents, Gaylene and Jim, have always been his number one fans and he is so grateful for their support.
He also acknowledges Ricky Weiss from Manitoba and Dustin Strand from Minnesota for all the guidance they have given him and hopes to one day follow in their tire tracks and be the proud recipient of that elusive National Championship.

I have no doubt that he will achieve that goal!
