Roaring Return: LaSalle Speedway Comes Alive for Practice Night
The roar of engines echoed through LaSalle once again as the LaSalle Speedway & Event Center hosted its long-anticipated Practice Night this past Sunday. For the first time since June 2021, the grandstands were alive with excitement as eager fans packed in to witness a wide array of race cars tear around the track.
Drivers from across the region flocked to the historic dirt oval, representing a full spectrum of divisions—from nimble 4-Cylinders to the thunderous Super Late Models. The evening marked a symbolic and thrilling return to racing for a facility that has been revitalized under the leadership of promoters Tony Izzo Jr. and Justin McCoy.
The duo has spearheaded a full-scale comeback for LaSalle Speedway, not only restoring the venue but also crafting a dynamic schedule for 2025. The season promises more than just racing, with events ranging from car shows and monster truck rallies to a full-blown rodeo.
The official season opener is just around the corner. On Tuesday, May 6th, the speedway will host FloRacing "Night in America" presented by Kubota, featuring premier action from Super Late Models and UMP Modifieds.
Fans can secure Tickets, VIP Parking, and RV Camping spots now at lasallespeedway.com.
After years of silence, LaSalle Speedway is once again a place where horsepower, community, and excitement meet—and this is just the beginning.
