ESCANABA — For the first time in 2025, youth sprints driver Tanner Rae found his way into victory lane.
“It felt really good to get this one,” Rae said. It’s nice to be back in Escanaba racing.”
The win for Rae was the sixth career feature win in Escanaba and seventh overall with the other win coming at Eagle River Speedway last season. Rae also has 28 top five finishes in his young career.
“I want to thank my family and my sponsors,” Rae said.
Rae’s sponsors include Bloniarz Farms, Bloniarz Equipment and Carpet and Drapery Shoppe.
Rae picked up a season-high three creature wins in 2023.
Rae will be back in action Sunday for O’Reilly Auto Parts Night. In addition, the Escanaba Motor Speedway will have drivers going through the stands with helmets to collect money for Easton Winling, who was injured in a crash at the speedway last week. The speedway will also have poster boards for fans to write messages to Easton. Gates open at 3 p.m. with racing at 5 p.m.
