Inside Line Promotions – LOCUST GROVE, Ark. (June 23, 2025) – Jordon Mallett recorded his seventh top-10 finish in his eighth start of the season last Saturday at Batesville Motor Speedway.

“The results don’t show the amount of effort put in,” he said. “We got our teeth kicked in early in the night. We qualified horrible. We had the wrong gear in the car and it just wasn’t good. I thought we’d time in really well there and I just made a bad call on gearing and that put us behind the eight ball early.”

Mallett opened the ASCS National Tour event by qualifying sixth quickest in his group. He then finished where he started – sixth – in a heat race.

“We had a hole to dig out of and the heat race wasn’t much better,” he said. “You start that deep and the track was still fast enough, it immediately got strung out and was single file. That put us in the nosebleed seats for the feature.”

Mallett lined up on the inside of the ninth row for the main event. His charge from 17th to 10th garnered his fifth top 10 of the season with the ASCS National Tour, which is tied for the third most.

“We recovered fine in the feature,” he said. “I made a bunch of changes since Texarkana and feel I have the car how I like. I was able to move around. We could run the top, run the bottom, through the middle. The track started taking rubber about eight or nine laps in. That was disappointing because I felt like we were moving pretty good and could have gotten further up the running order. Overall, we were able to dig out of a hole and take a bad night and turn it into a salvageable night.”

Next up is a trip to Tulsa Speedway in Tulsa, Okla., this Friday and Saturday for the Dirt Down in T-Town with the ASCS National Tour. Mallett’s career-best result at the track was a fifth-place showing in 2022.

“I think I’ve been there twice,” he said. “I don’t have a lot of expectations. I’ve watched a few races there and I’ve seen it all over the board. I’ve seen it rough and I’ve seen it take rubber. We went there for a doubleheader last year. The first night we weren’t very good and finished 18th. We were way better the second night and made the dash, but the program was rained out.”

Mallett enters this weekend ranked sixth in the ASCS National Tour championship standings – only 13 points out of the top five.
