Inside Line Promotions – ABERDEEN, S.D. (June 30, 2025) – Jack Dover tied his season-best result last Friday during his debut at Brown County Speedway, which hosted a Cressman Sanitation Midwest Sprint Touring Series 410 Sprint Cars and Buffalo Wild Wings Northern Outlaw Sprint Association show.
“In hot laps the track was probably the worst I’ve been on since I started racing,” he said. “We ruined a set of tires. We were nervous about how the rest of the night was going to go. They reworked it before our heat races and it was decent.”
The Tim Estenson Motorsports driver was credited with a run from fifth to third place during his heat race, which was good enough to earn a spot into the feature redraw.
“We went fifth to fourth and the guy in front missed the scales so that put us third,” he said. “We were sixth in the redraw order and drew the No. 3 so we started the feature third.
“We got to second right away in the feature and literally paced Tim (Kaeding) the whole time. I passed him at one point on the backstretch. Going into turn three there was a lapped car in front. It was either lift so we don’t all wreck or floor it in there and take the chance of wrecking. I lifted and it turned out that was my only chance at getting by Tim. He ran a really good race and got through traffic just a tick better than me. He found the right holes at the right time.”
Dover’s second-place result was his fourth top five of the season. It also jumped him to second in the MSTS 410 Sprint Cars championship standings – only four points out of the lead.
An event on Sunday at Casino Speedway in Watertown, S.D., rained out.
Dover will return to action with the MSTS 410 Sprint Cars this Friday at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa.
“I’m looking forward to that almost as much as the place we were supposed to race last Sunday because we were very good there in the past,” he said. “Obviously 410s and 360s are very different, but I can take what the track usually does and correlate that.”
Dover last raced at Rapid Speedway in May 2022 when he recorded a runner-up result. He has a streak of four straight top-two finishes – including two wins – at the track since the end of the 2020 season.
