Merrill, MI - When the 2025 schedule came together for the Great Lakes Super Sprints Presented by PERFIT & ARP, an intentional off weekend was built in for the second weekend of July, following a stretch of five races in nine days. However, the off weekend presents a unique opportunity for Championship hopefuls to prepare for the penultimate weekend of the season at Ohsweken Speedway and Buxton Speedway.
This Friday and Saturday, July 11th and 12th, the Southern Ontario Sprints sanction the racing action starting with a stop at Ohsweken Speedway on Friday before going to Buxton Speedway on Saturday. Some Great Lakes Super Sprints teams will likely take advantage of the opportunity to get familiar with the rsce tracks ahead of the GLSS weekend August 22nd and 23rd.
After this weekend, seven straight weekends of racing await to crown the 2025 Champion of GLSS. The season Championship wraps up one weekend after the trip to Canada on Sunday, August 31st at Crystal Motor Speedway. Two-time GLSS Champion, Jared Horstman, currently leads three-time and defending Champion, Max Stambaugh in the Championship battle.
