BY THE NUMBERS: Battle for $5,000 Musco Lighting Most Improved Driver Award Shaping Up as High Limit Nears Halfway

The calendar year is halfway home, and the 2025 Kubota High Limit Racing campaign is nearly there, too, completing 22 events with another 30 scheduled in July, August, September, and October.

Reaching the midway point means tracking for the Musco Lighting Most Improved Driver Award can begin – with a $5,000 bonus going to the driver who improves his average finish the most from the first half to the second half of the season. Any tiebreakers for the title will be solved by wins, then top-fives, then top-10s.

As it stands right now, here are each drivers’ average finishing positions through the first 22 events of the Kubota High Limit Racing season:

6.68 AVG Finish – Aaron Reutzel (Ridge & Sons Racing #87)
6.68 AVG Finish – Tyler Courtney (Clauson-Marshall Racing #7BC)
6.72 AVG Finish – Brad Sweet (Kasey Kahne Racing #49)
7.18 AVG Finish – Brent Marks (Murray-Marks Motorsports #19)
7.40 AVG Finish – Rico Abreu (Rico Abreu Racing #24)
10.22 AVG Finish – Justin Peck (Rudeen Racing #26)
11.40 AVG Finish – Tanner Thorson (Rod Gross Motorsports #88)
14.09 AVG Finish – Kasey Kahne (Kasey Kahne Racing #9)
14.31 AVG Finish – Chase Randall (Chase Randall Racing #9R)
14.36 AVG Finish – Spencer Bayston (Jason Meyers Racing #14)
14.90 AVG Finish – Daison Pursley (Buch Motorsports (#13)
16.04 AVG Finish – Brenham Crouch (CJB Motorsports #5)
18.40 AVG Finish – Danny Sams III (Randerson Racing #24D)
18.61 AVG Finish – Sye Lynch (Mosites Lynch Motorsports #42)

Last year, Rico Abreu earned the inaugural award from Musco Lighting after improving his average finish nearly five full positions – a turnaround that saw his No. 24 team rally to third in the 2024 championship standings.
