(Wilmot, Wis., Friday, July 11, 2025)--With showers entering the area Friday evening, July 11, and weather models projecting severe thunderstorms hitting Wilmot Raceway along with the National Weather Service placing the area under a tornado watch until 11:00pm, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series and track officials agreed to cancel night one of the Larry Hillerud Memorial Badger 40 with competitor and fan safety in mind.
The finale Saturday, July 12, is still on as scheduled. Pit gate is scheduled to open at 2 pm, front gate 4 pm with hot laps at 6:30 pm and racing to follow.

Joining the World of Outlaws on the card are the AutoMeter Powered By Gandrud Performance Wisconsin WingLESS Sprints.
Adam Taylor of Wheatfield, IN heads up the traveling Wisconsin WingLESS Sprints Series points with four feature wins including June 1 at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, WI; June 14 and June 28 at Wilmot and June 21 at Plymouth(WI) Dirt Track.
Second in points, 102 points out of the lead, Tim Cox of Park City, IL, 2018 and 2022 Series Champion, is still looking for his first 2025 victory driving the FattFro Zone 14AJ for a new team. Cox has had considerable success over the years winning series and track championships on both dirt and asphalt, also being inducted into the Southeastern Wisconsin Short Track Hall of Fame in 2021.
Third place is second generation competitor Tyler Kuxhouse of Antioch, IL who is also after his first feature win of the season.
Last year's 2024 series champion Zach Raidart of Gurnee, IL is fourth 200 points behind with a Wilmot win coming May 30 in the Border Battle with the American Sprint Car Tour.
Completing the top five 267 points back is Allen Hafford of Beach Park, IL, also looking for his initial win of the year.
The Wisconsin WingLESS series began under the direction of National Sprint Car Hall of Fame Class of 2025 Inductee Steve Sinclair in 2015 at Wilmot.
In separate Wilmot Raceway WingLESS points championship standings, Cox is atop the leader board with 732 points. Second is two-time and defending second generation competitor Chris Klemko of Bristol, WI who has Wilmot wins May 3 and May 24. Kuxhouse is third 49 points out. Hafford fourth 117 back. Hartland's Seth Johnson 155 points back in fifth looking for a feature victory this season.
The planned schedule for Saturday, July 12, begins with a Anderson's Maple Syrup Pancake Breakfast 7 until 10 am in the new Creek Side Stage Building located just outside of the main grandstand entrance. The breakfast is open to the public at $10.00 per person ages 7 and over. A car show will be held in conjunction with the breakfast.
Bill Balog, originally from Alaska now calling Hartford, Wis. home, 10-time IRA champion in his second full season with the World of Outlaws tour will be signing autographs and visiting with fans 8-9 am.
Living Like Outlaw's Wes Irwin will host World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series Competitors taking Q&A with fans 2-4 pm at the Creek Side Stage Building.
