Mother Nature was not a factor at the Can-Am Speedway this past Friday night. Drivers in all five classes were happy to be back, along with a grandstand full of excited race fans. After a win the last time we raced on June 21st, Genavieve Bartlett was out front of the Donath Motorworx Limited Sportsman 12 lap feature, with Camdin Cook and Logan Brown right there to challenge. Bartlett was strong on this night using the bottom lane, but Brown had other ideas. On lap 9...more

The Golden Jubilee Season at the Can-Am Speedway continued this past Friday night and the day was particularly special, as it was 50 years ago to the date, when the gates first opened at what was then known as Can-Am Winner’s Circle Speedway on June 14th 1974. On that date Jim Clark and Gord Dobbins won the Modified and Stocker events with Lee Gill flagging the races. Fast forward to June 14th of 2024 and current weekly Chief starter Mike Laclair, dropped the green...more

The Golden Jubilee Season has been one for the history books and this coming Friday night a long time favorite will make its return to the speedway, after 26 years of sitting on the sidelines. May 25th 1998, a budding superstar named Tim McCreadie took the checkered flag in the Summer Starter, which featured the best Big Block and 358 Modified drivers in the Northeast. The win was one of the first major events he added to his now huge collection of trophies. Little did...more

It was a perfect night for racing this past Friday night at the Can-Am Speedway as Mother Nature gave the speedway perfect weather and perfect track conditions for all five divisions. It was also Five Dollar Night, which also saw a packed grandstand. The night kicked off with the Donath Motorworx Limited Sportsman and Brady Howard led early in the 12 lap feature go. The mid-summer months are here and the Can Am Speedway drivers were in top form this past Friday night. It was Ladies Night, as a Powder Puff event highlighted a great night of racing action. Keegan Nier has been on a roll in the Donath Motorworx Limited Sportsman the last few weeks. Nier led the field early over Dylan Moore and Brady Howard and looked to be the strongest of the three drivers. Throughout the entire 12 lap contest Nier was clearly the fastest car on the...more
