East Grand Fork, Minnesota's Bob Martin led from the pole in the Sprint Car feature. Caution halted the race early as Mark Dobmeier's car flipped down the front stretch in a vicious tumble. A 25 lap Sprint Car feature ended the evening. After a complete restart, pole sitter Wade Nygaard led the field to the green flag. Nygaard held on to the lead as Greg Nikitenko battled with Mark Dobmeier for second. Dobmeier, who started 12th, quickly passed Nikitenko on lap three.
