Scott Thiel Motorsports and Scotty Thiel kicked off the 2011 race season finally Friday night at the Manitowoc County Speedway in Manitowoc, WI. The crew unloaded the brand new #64 Complete Water Triple X Chassis and prepared for the nights' event. Scott drew a 45 pill, which set him to start 8th in his heat race. The Scott Thiel Motorsports team showed up at the Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, WI Saturday September 25th. Scotty drew a 40 pill which set him to start inside the third row of the heat race event. After getting rained out the first night at the Manitowoc County Speedway, the STM crew returned back Saturday with a lot of determination. Scotty picked a 9 pill and started on the pole of the heat race event. Not being able to grab control of the very dry slick track, Thiel lost a few spots and managed to take a third place finish. The STM crew brought the #64 Complete Water Inc Sprintcar to the Manitowoc County Speedway Friday August 27th. Scotty started on the pole of the heat and never looked back and took the checkered flag honors. Thiel would then start 3rd for the night's 30 lap A-main event. Saturday night's racing brought STM to the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, WI. Scotty started his heat race on the outside from row. Mother Nature and Friday the 13th played games all day and night at the Manitowoc County Speedway. Rain was in the area all night long and fell a few times which postponed several races. Continuing the next 3 day racing stretch, the STM crew headed out to the Thunderhill Raceway in Sturgeon Bay, WI on Thursday August 6th. Scotty went out 10th for qualifying and missed the set-up a little bit as the track began to dry out. It would also call for a deep starting spot in the heat race. After preparing the car all week long, the STM crew heading to the Manitowoc Speedway on Friday July 30th. This was their first night for the upcoming 7 day speedweek. Scotty drew a 15 pill which set him to start inside second row for the heat race.
