It was a special night for “Dynamite” Mark Dobmeier and the Lunstra/Dobmeier #13 team on Friday. Not only did Mark pick up his eighth win of the season, his father Mike was inducted into the River Cities Speedway Hall of Fame. Fourth of July week received all the fireworks it needed in the form of “Dynamite” Mark Dobmeier. The Grand Forks, North Dakota sprint car ace reeled off three wins in three nights, including a defeat of the World of Outlaws at the Huset’s Speedway near Brandon, South Dakota. The level of excitement at the Apex SpeedSports hauler was at a fever pitch last night as Amber Balcaen debuted the Precison Land Solutions Ag Water Supply Champion Spark Plugs #10 sprint car. Balcaen's first time out in the Mopar powered 410 proved to be a success as she easily adapted to the big horsepower on a track that was essentially a mixed bag. It has been three years since Wasmund Racing has been to Viking Speedway in Alexandria, Minnesota, and with the Northern Outlaw Sprint Association coming to the ½ mile speedway, Matt and the Wasmund Racing team decided to head up there this past Saturday to test their skills against some of the best 410 Sprint Car drivers in the North.
