After making a seven hour haul up to the North Central Speedway in Brainerd, Minnesota, the STM team arrived and started to prepare the car for the very eventful night of UMSS Sprint car racing. Coming off a great previous week of racing, the STM team was prepared to charge again at the Manitowoc County Expo Speedway this past Friday night. Scotty was getting pushed off for engine warm ups and discovered that the oil pressure was going down on the gauge pretty fast. He pulled the car out of gear and shut it off right away. The Scott Thiel Motorsports crew headed off to the Manitowoc County Speedway last Friday night hoping luck would actually turn around for them, as it has been rough the past few weekends of racing. Over the past two weekends of racing, luck has not been on the side for Scotty Thiel. After having two DNF's back to back, Thiel is trying to figure out if luck will ever turn around. Mother Nature finally allowed racing action to take place at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds on Saturday June 12th. Scotty drew a number 2 pill which set him on the Pole of the first heat race. After a long week off of racing due to weather, STM finally got the change to race. Friday night was the season opener for the Manitowoc County Expo Speedway. After a long week of working to prepare the second sprint car, Scotty and the team came to the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, WI.
