Scott Thiel Motorsports made the 5 hour haul to Kopellah Speedway in St. Croix Falls, WI Friday, April 23rd for the season opener of the UMSS Sprint car series. Scotty drew a high pill which set him to start 5th in the heat race event. Starting fairly strong, Scotty drove to the third position until going into turn three, something broke in the front end, and Thiel went hard into the outside wall. He was not injured in the wreck but had some pain in the mid back area....more

Saturday, April 17th, marked the season opener for the MSA sprint cars at the Dodge County Fairgrounds in Beaver Dam, WI. The Scott Thiel Motorsports team pulled in and started to prepare the car for the nights action. A whole new set-up went into the car after the guys from Super Shox came to the trailer. After working all week long on final preparations, the STM crew headed out Friday morning on the nine hour haul to Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, South Dakota. The Scott Thiel Motorsports #64 sprintcar is in the final stages of preparation for the 2010 season. The STM crew has been working very hard on getting the cars ready to go for their first race in 2010, which will be held on April 9th and 10th at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Nebraska. The 2010 sprint car season is approaching the Scott Thiel Motorsports team very quickly. Scotty Thiel and the STM #64 sprint car will be making a few races out of state before they return home and charge at a MSA 360 Sprint Car Championship starting on April 17th at the Dodge County Fairgrounds.
