It’s the first and only time the fans get the chance to see it in 2024, the ladies get a chance to get behind the wheel this coming Friday night at the Can-Am Speedway as it is Ladies Night with a full slate of racing in all five divisions and a popular Powder Puff event also. Victims Assistance Center of Jefferson County and a full crowd were on hand as the Golden Jubilee Season continued this past Friday night at the Can-Am Speedway. Can Am Summer Starter Return to La...

May 25, 1998 was the last time the popular Summer Starter had been run and during the Golden Jubilee Season at the Can-Am Speedway, staff and management decided to bring it back. The 50th Golden Jubilee season got back underway Friday night at the Can-Am Speedway, but it started off by honoring a legend in the sport of auto racing, who called the speedway home for so many years. Legend Barefoot Bob McCreadie passed away Wednesday and Can-Am paid tribute to the man who won 30 of his 507 career Modified feature wins at the speedway, including the final win of his career, August 13th of 2006. It was a perfect night for racing this past Friday night at the Can-Am Speedway as Mother Nature gave the speedway perfect weather and perfect track conditions for all five divisions. The Nasty Track of the North season opener was exciting last week as the Golden Jubilee season saw a couple of surprise winners, but the night also belonged to drivers who had been there before.
