Tristan Guardino (Fremont, California) led all 30-laps to claim last Saturday’s “Championship Night” at Santa Maria Raceway. Co-sanctioned with the local SM 360 Sprints, Guardino’s $1,500 triumph was his first USAC West Coast Sprint Car victory of the season. Fast qualifier Max Adams, Austin Liggett, “Hollywood” Danny Faria Jr., and Grant Anderson rounded out the top-five finishers. SANTA MARIA, Calif. (June 19, 2017) - Jimmy Leal backed up his win in May last Saturday night at the Santa Maria Raceway scoring the Non-Wing Main Event. Only four drivers made their way to the Santa Maria Raceway, but it was all Jimmy Leal at the conclusion of the 20-lap Main Event. Ryan Bernal of Hollister, Calif. made his 2016 USAC/CRA AMSOIL Sprint race debut a winning one Friday night, grabbing the 30-lap “Doug Fort Memorial” at Santa Maria Raceway in the Keith Ford Walker Filtration Systems/Sun Valley AG Transport Spike/Chevy. He passed series point leader Brody Roa on lap nine and led the rest of the way to beat Damion Gardner, Roa, Austin Williams and Danny Sheridan.
