Cody Jessop and Dylan Nobile lead respective USAC Western HPD point standings entering this weekend’s “Harvest Classic” races at Madera (Calif.) Speedway. Feature events are scheduled both Friday and Saturday night at the one-third mile paved oval. Jessop has five podium finishes in seven Madera starts so far in 2015 but is seeking his first Madera win this year. Nobile, on the other hand, has won three times at Madera already this season. Ventura, CA……..Tristin Thomas of Burlington, Wash. won Wednesday night’s accident-shortened 18-lap USAC Western Dirt HPD Midget race at Ventura Raceway. Thomas passed Ashley Hazelton on lap 15 and led until Jared Pickens flipped on lap 19 at which time the race was halted.
