Minnesota Mafia Point Race #2 will take place this Sunday night (June 15th) at "The Home of the Professionals" Huset's Speedway in Brandon, SD. Rain stops June 8 action

Rain showers hit Huset's Speedway during Coffee Cup Fuel Stops Championship Sprint Car heat races. The rain was just enough to end the races for the night. Fans who were at the track should remember to bring their rain checks to the track June 15 for free admission. The same is true for those who were on the infield. A free pit pass will be issued to those with their arm band from the rain-shortened program. The racing on June 15 will be an entirely new show.

June 1: Rained Out

Racing for June 1, 2014 at Huset's has been rained out. Nearly 2.5 inches of rain fell at the Brandon, SD, speedway in the early morning hours. Forecasters are calling for more rain in the afternoon and nighttime hours. Racing resumes next Sunday featuring the Dollar Loan Center Outlaw Sprints, Coffee Cup Fuel Stop Championship Sprints, Bolte’s Street Stocks, B-Modifieds and Hobby Stocks.

McCarl Wins Feature, Lutz Series

Terry McCarl charged from ninth in the starting grid to the win in the Championship Sprint feature on the Loren Barstad Memorial weekend. McCarl and early race leader Jack Dover traded the lead a countless number of times in the 25 lap feature. Dover finished second. Eric Lutz finished third in the feature after staring 12th. Lutz would claim the weekend points series. Dusty Ballenger and Jordan Boston rounded out the top five in the feature.

Dobmeier Dynamite In Huset's Win

Mark Dobmeier made a move on Ian Madsen in the late laps of Sunday's Dollar Loan Center Outlaw Sprint feature. The Grand Forks, ND, driver went on to his first win of 2014 at Huset's Speedway. Dobmeier is the 5-time and defending Huset's Speedway champion. Iam Madsen crossed the line second just ahead of Terry McCarl. Loren Barstad Memorial: Sun - Mon

Huset's Speedway is proud to host night two and three of the 2014 Loren Barstad Memorial Series. The region's top 360 sprint racers will be gunning for their share of more than $25,000 up for grabs over the weekend. Sunday's racing starts at 7 p.m. Monday's racing starts at 6 p.m. Tickets: Adults $13 / Juniors ages 8-14 are $5 / 7 and younger are free.
