Lemoore, CA……..Shawn Buckley of Simi Valley, Calif. won Saturday night’s 25-lap USAC Western HPD Midget race at Lemoore Raceway and has moved to the lead in the series standings as a result. He took the lead from Ashley Hazelton on lap eight and led the rest of the way to beat Cody Jessop, Hazelton, Ron Hazelton and Jet Davison. Jessop now leads the overall Western HPD Midget chase. USAC’s Western HPD Midget series resumes this weekend with races at Visalia and Lemoore, Calif. Cody Jessop and Randi Pankratz lead respective point standings entering Friday night’s race at Keller Auto Raceway at Plaza Park in Visalia. Saturday night’s race is at Lemoore Raceway.
