After the previous weekend getting rained out, the STM #64 Sprint car returned back to racing action at the Manitowoc County Speedway Friday night and the Plymouth Dirt Track Saturday night. Scotty drew a 27 pill Friday at Manitowoc and would start 5th in his heat race event. The race would go green to checkered and not a lot of passing was taking place. The hot streak of top 5 finishes for Scotty Thiel and the #64 STM Sprint car came to a close this past weekend after two nights of bad luck struck the team. Friday night at the Manitowoc County Speedway, Thiel started 8th in the heat race event. With the track being very tacky and greasy, passing was difficult. After coming off a solid top 5 weekend with the UMSS, Scotty Thiel and the Scott Thiel Motorsports #64 Sprint Car backed that up with two top 5 finishes this past weekend at the Manitowoc County Expo Speedway and the Plymouth Dirt Track.
