The Golden Jubilee Season at the Can-Am Speedway continued this past Friday night and the day was particularly special, as it was 50 years ago to the date, when the gates first opened at what was then known as Can-Am Winner’s Circle Speedway on June 14th 1974. On that date Jim Clark and Gord Dobbins won the Modified and Stocker events with Lee Gill flagging the races. Fast forward to June 14th of 2024 and current weekly Chief starter Mike Laclair, dropped the green...more

All 5 divisions saw exciting finishes and some drivers continued their early season dominance, while others finally broke through for their first wins of the new year. Logan Brown has been the dominant force in the Donath Motorworx Limited Sportsman in 2024 winning 4 of the first 5 events. Victims Assistance Center of Jefferson County and a full crowd were on hand as the Golden Jubilee Season continued this past Friday night at the Can-Am Speedway. There was plenty of excitement in all five classes which included a first time winner. The Golden Jubilee Season has been one for the history books and this coming Friday night a long time favorite will make its return to the speedway, after 26 years of sitting on the sidelines. May 25th 1998, a budding superstar named Tim McCreadie took the checkered flag in the Summer Starter, which featured the best Big Block and 358 Modified drivers in the Northeast. The win was one of the first major events he added to his now huge collection of trophies. Little did...more

The green flag flew on opening day for the 50th Golden Jubilee season at the Can-Am Speedway this past Friday night with a full pit area and a great crowd on hand to see some of the top stars in the Northeast. But it was the drivers who had been there before that stayed in the spotlight on this night. The DIRTCar Sportsman Series headlined the night as the North Regional Series was in town. Four time and defending Bob Johnson Auto Group DIRTCar Sportsman track champion...more

Plenty of action was happening both on and off the track this past Friday night at the Can Am Speedway in Lafargeville New York. All six classes took to the speedway after a rainout from one week ago and all drivers were set for battle. Along with drivers ready to get back on track, NNY Shed Builders out of Lowville were on hand and it was a night of celebration for our local First Responders, who took to the speedway for a special parade at intermission.
