Greseth wins the 2022 NLRA Golden Hammer While the young Tate Bullis is on vacation. He handed the keys to veteran driver Stoney Kruk of Langdon ND in the purestock division. The 2 veteran drivers Joe Armstrong of Crary ND and Stoney Kruk drew up front where they duked it out for the heat race. Kruk ended up with the heat win with Armstrong finishing second. It may have been a chilly night at the Devils Lake Speedway. But the Racing was RED HOT. "Car counts were fair considering spring plant is in full swing for our area along with some drivers are still waiting on parts. Some parts are getting harder to come by because of the pandemic. The racing has been hot at the Devils Lake Speedway!!!! In the Purestock division #1CJ Joe Armstrong started 6th in the feature. Armstrong slowly worked his way to the front. But he had to get passed Daniel Bromstad of Laverne and Carter Tuenge of Rugby who were both having an Epic side by side battle for 1st place. After a car spinning brought the caution out. The Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint Car season has been on hold since the original opener on April 24th at River Cities Speedway was canceled. Since then, four additional dates at the Grand Forks three-tenths mile oval have been canceled due to either cold, rainy spring weather or COVID-19 restrictions. The rain stayed away and the cars played at the Devils Playground Saturday August 24th. The fans had a lot of action to keep there eyes on. With side by side racing and 3 wide action has become the norm at the Devils Lake Speedway this season. Dan Bromstad of Lavern ND came out with a heat win starting in the second position. Lawson Racing kicked off our 2018 season this past Saturday at the Devils Lake Speedway. A strong field of 22 sprint cars were on hand for the CAOSS/NOSA race night. The track had received good amount of rain the day prior and that caused a rougher track for the night. Kevin would be in the first heat of 3 and finish 6th.
