After a short trip down I-30, the Covington Motorsports team was ready to take on I-30 Speedway for night #2 of the ASCS Speedweeks. With a decent draw Matt would start inside rown #2 for the heat. Covington Motorsports rolled into Texarkana for what hoped to be a successful night to start off the ASCS Speedweeks. It started off as good as anybody could have hoped for, with a front row draw Matt would start the heat on the front row and go on to take Heat race #2 win. Sunnyvale, Texas-Sam Hafertepe Jr and the Plumbfast Racing Team continued their hot streak as they earned a 7th place finish at I-96 Speedway in Michigan. The Fusion Energy Boost was one of the fastest cars in the 1st warm-up session and 11th overall.
